The Jim Brown Company was founded by James C. Brown in 1964. Jim and his wife Zella owned a resort business in Gamaliel at the time and needed something to offset the winter slow down of tourist. He ran the company until 1972 when he started Mountain Home Supply, a plumbing, heating and air conditioning supply house. He worked there until he retired.
The company is currently being run by two generations of Jim Brown 's . They are Jim Sr . and J N and they share the day to day operation of the company .
The Jim Brown Company has two buildings at their location. The upper building, the one closest to Highway 5 North, houses the Sales and Service group. The lower building is where you will find the sheet metal shop and installation crews.
